Sanitaire has announced that is has doubled its warranty coverage on most of its models, increasing its parts, service and labor warranty from one year to two.

The company is calling its newly-extended warranty program the “Sanitaire Promise of Performance” as a means to emphasize its quality commitment to the company’s legendary vacuum cleaner models, which are widely known as the most durable and dependable available. The new warranty effectively doubles the warranty on Sanitaire commercial vacuums from one to two full years from the date of purchase.

“We have already enhanced the durability of our products by making numerous improvements in recent months,” explains Brad Hoare, General Manager of Eureka and Commercial Brands. “As an example, we developed a longer lasting motor that ensures our vacuum cleaners will stay on the job and out of the repair shop.

“But we wanted to do more to strengthen our partnership with our customer, and to demonstrate that we stand behind our products to reduce their maintenance costs and downtime,” Hoare says. “That’s why we’re introducing the Sanitaire Promise of Performance, to offer our customers even more confidence that they can depend on Sanitaire to keep performing.

The new two-year warranty on Sanitaire commercial products covers parts, material, workmanship—even labor—making it one of the best in the industry. The warranty covers all models, including the flagship DuraLux and the new lightweight upright DuraLite. Models excluded are SC678, SC679 and SC689.

The Sanitaire Brand was recently rated first in quality and durability. Each Sanitaire product is backed by a network of more than 1,500 warranty service centers throughout the United States.

Deep cleaning of intensive care units can help lower the risk of drug-resistant bacteria, U.S. researchers say. The study finds an enhanced cleaning protocol helped lower methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection among those exposed to a prior occupant with MRSA to 1.5 percent out of 1,443 patients — down from the 3.9 percent of out of 1,454 patients before the enhanced cleaning.

The three-part cleaning intervention consisted of: changing from using a bottle to bucket immersion to apply disinfectant to cleaning cloths, educating hospital environmental services staff and obtaining feedback by using UV lights to check for removal of intentionally-applied marks.

The study involved more than 13,000 hospital stays in 10 Boston intensive care units. Routine admission and weekly screenings for MRSA and vancomycin-resistant Enterococci were conducted both in September 2003 to April 2005 before the cleaning intervention and during the intervention — September 2005 to April 2008.

The findings were presented at the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America meeting in San Diego.

- Diamond coated floor pads for cleaning and polishing marble, terrazzo, slate, and polished concrete flooring.

Formulated with a fast drying water-based solvent/surfactant system, this carpet shampoo uses foaming action to lift soils from carpet fibers. To Use –
For compresssed air and other foam generating carpet shampoo machines, including solution-fed, and rotary machines equipped with brush or bonnet; Dilute 1 part shampoo with 15 to 20 parts water. For lightly soiled carpets a dilution of 1 to 24 is suggested. Avoid soaking carpet. Pick-up soil-laded suds with a wet vac. Use defoamer in pickup tank. When dry, vacuum thoroughly with a beater-brush vacuum to restore the carpet nap.
